UNITE conciliators are trained and experienced in conflict management. They come from a diverse range of backgrounds including law, senior management and education. They receive ongoing training from UNITE and work to UNITE’s quality standards. In addition they receive regular supervision and feedback on their practice. UNITE has Investors in People recognition and this is reflected in the training, support and supervision conciliators receive at UNITE.
Most UNITE conciliators first train and practise as community mediators. They need to demonstrate that they have the experience and understanding of organisations before they are considered for workplace and/or health conciliation.
UNITE delivers a workplace mediation/conciliation programme for organisations wishing to develop their own in-house service.
