UNITE Gateshead provide a free mediation service to residents of Gateshead who are involved in any kind of neighbour dispute. No more Neighbours from Hell - 9th October 2007 press release

Neighbours in Gateshead now have a chance to sort out their differences through an independent impartial mediator - for free. From 1 October 2007 Gateshead Council is working in partnership with UNITE in Gateshead, a well established mediation service with fourteen years experience of helping neighbours resolve issues such as noise, parking, high hedges, and much more. As a recent client said, “We both are so grateful for UNITE and the meeting we had, since then life is much easier and there is no malice with our neighbours. The air has definitely cleared. Thank you.”

The organisation is also looking for volunteers to join their mediation team. If you want to learn more about helping local people who are in conflict and you are prepared to give up a few hours per week they want to hear from you. The next 8-day Open College Network accredited Mediation Skills training programme begins Saturday 10 November 2007, continuing on Wednesday afternoons/evenings and Saturday morning/afternoons.
