UNITE started as a pilot project on three housing estates in Middlesbrough in 1993. Over the last 10 years the geographic area and the number of beneficiaries has steadily increased, to the point where we now offer a free mediation service to the residents of Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Hambleton, Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, Easington, Sunderland, Gateshead and South Tyneside

Referrers, who they are and how to refer

UNITE works with a number of local agencies that refer cases for mediation. These include the police, local councils, other voluntary organisations and the people involved in conflict themselves. You may use our online referral system or simply call us at 01642 311 633 to discuss if mediation may be able to help you or your clients.
