There are a number of ways you can refer a dispute to UNITE's community mediation service.
Community mediation is free for residents of Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, Hambleton, Easington, Sunderland and Gateshead. If the parties live outside this area there will be a charge for the service. UNITE will contact you with charging information within 3 working days of receiving your referral.

DISPUTE YOU ARE NOT INVOLVED IN If you are referring a dispute you are not involved in, you can refer disputes involving two parties and you will need to provide information about your organisation. UNITE's community mediation service is confidential. We can only provide feedback on whether the case reached agreement or if a party withdrew from the process. Whether children under 16 are involved.
The number of parties involved.
For each party involved in the dispute: Name, Address, Postcode, Telephone number, Housing status, Whether they want mediation, don't know about mediation or are thinking about mediation and their availability.
