Victim/Offender mediation training

UNITE can deliver victim/offender training to organisations interested in developing their staff. Training will be delivered in line with the new draft standards to restorative justice practitioners and will include the following:

· What is restorative justice · Communication skills · Creating a safe environment for parties · Anti-discriminatory behaviour · Maintaining confidentiality · Self-awareness · Working productively with others · Stages of the mediation process · Victim and offender perspectives · Engaging with parties · Indirect mediation process · Facilitating face to face meetings · Forming outcome agreements · Feedback, evaluation, monitoring and support
